Question by jenny_sue: What is the difference between Guatemala salads and American ones?
Is it that they have a different dressing, have more exotic foods, are eaten last, or nothing at all?

It is rare that they eat salad as we know it. Cabbage salads and slaw are more typical. A lettuce type salad at a restaurant would be a little shredded lettuce with a tomato slice. On sandwiches it is more typical to find cabbage than lettuce. From a friend who spent time there while working.
